Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe.
You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport, located on a peninsula that juts out into the largest freshwater lake in Africa (Lake Victoria), where our driver-guide will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
You will enjoy your breakfast very early in the morning and commence your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will make a stopover at Migyera along the Kampala-Gulu Road for a chance to stretch your legs. After the break, you will proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where rhinos that got wiped out in the Ugandan wild are being kept before they are reintroduced in Ugandan national parks. When you arrive at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a guide, and armed rangers will take you on a walking safari in search of the rhinos. Once you have spotted them, you will stay in their presence for a while (for about ± 2 hours). You will enjoy lunch at Ziwa and thereafter return to your waiting vehicle and proceed with your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, you will check in at your lodge and have the rest of the day to yourselves, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drive, Boat Safari and Night Game drive
You will wake up at 6.00 am and enjoy your breakfast. At 6:30 am, you’ll drive out for a game drive for a chance to view the glorious day-break from across the open savannah. Wildlife on the northern bank includes Rothschild Giraffes, Elephants, Lions, Oribis, Waterbucks, etc, and a variety of savannah woodland birds. Between 10-11 am, you will return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. After lunch, at 2:00 pm, you’ll head out for the boat cruise to the bottom of the powerful Murchison Falls. This three-hour boat cruise climaxes at the edge of the Rift Valley escarpment at which point you will get off the boat and trek to the top of the falls. Having worked up a sweat, once at the top, get bathed in the misty spray that the Nile creates as it forces itself into the 7-meter cleft to create the famous Murchison Falls. You’ll continue on a game drive that gives way to a night game drive with a spotlight. Later, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
This morning, you’ll wake up early and have breakfast at 6:30 am. After breakfast, you’ll check out of the hotel and depart from Murchison Falls NP with a stop in Hoima for a stretch, and then proceed with the journey via Kyenjojo. Along the way, you will traverse traditional homesteads surrounded by crop plantations in a very leafy and green area, arriving in Fort Portal in time for a hot lunch. Thereafter, continue to Kibale Forest National Park, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimp Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk
After your breakfast, your driver-guide will drive you to Kibale Forest National Park headquarters at Kanyanchu for a briefing before you commence your chimpanzee trekking. This park is reputed for having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. On the guided nature walk, you are in search of chimpanzees, Red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and many others. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend a full hour with them at close quarters. After the mandatory 1 hour is finished, your guides/rangers will lead you back to the park headquarters. Once back at the lodge, you will have the rest of the day to yourselves to relax and look back on your exhilarating experience encountering the chimpanzees through the lens of your camera. Later in the afternoon, you can visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary—an exciting experience and overnight stay at your Lodge.

Day 6: To Queen Elizabeth National Park via Crater Region
You will wake up at leisure and enjoy your breakfast. You will not be in a hurry, so you will depart Kibale Forest National Park for Queen Elizabeth National Park at leisure. Drive through the beautiful crater region, where the views and scenery are to die for! After seeing some of the many craters in the region, back you will continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park with the Rwenzori Mountains in the backdrop as you lose altitude to arrive in or around the park. On arrival and after check-in at the beautiful lodge, you can relax and have the rest of the day to yourself or choose to go for a game drive. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge, where nature’s night sounds invade your cottage/room.

Day 7: Game drive and Boat Cruise along the Kazinga Channel
You will wake up at 6.00 am, enjoy your breakfast, and set off for a day-break game drive on the park’s plains. You will head straight for the mating grounds of the Uganda Kobs and also search for lions in their natural habitat, elephants, and buffalos, and then you’ll return to the lodge. You will change gears and head for the Kasenyi plains, which are prolific, and hence lions and other predators hunt here. You will return to the lodge and then have lunch. At either 2:00 pm or 4:00 pm, you will head out for the boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel that connects lakes Edward and George—one of the major highlights of your safari. On the cruise, abundant bird life is sighted, and perhaps the highest concentration of hippopotamus in Africa lives on this stretch. The boat cruise, lasting 3 hours, climaxes with you looking at stunning scenery in the distance. You’ll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Drive to Bwindi via Ishasha Sector
After breakfast, you will commence your transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of mountain gorillas, passing through the lush Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and its fig trees, where you stand a chance of running into the famous and unique tree-climbing lions. There are about quite a number of lions in this part of the park, elephant herds are numerous, and cheeky baboons are ever-present. After exploring this sector of the park, where game density rises, you’ll exit the park and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, considered the number one beautiful place in the world, where you’ll marvel at the landscape, the lush rainforest, etc. You’ll be arriving late at your destination. You will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking and Relax at the Lodge
Very early in the morning, after breakfast, you will carry your packed lunch and be at the park ranger station by 7.30 am for registration and briefing and start the gorilla trekking experience at around 8:00 am. This remarkable experience of searching for the famous Mountain Gorillas is strenuous and thus requires one to be physically fit; however, the thrill of encountering these humble and gentle giants erases the poor memories you went through while finding them. The trekking takes 2–9 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle, and you will spend one hour with them as you take photos and learn about their behaviors. After the trekking, we will return to the lodge, where we will spend the rest of the day relaxing or going for an optional activity that is;

Day 10: Drive to the Scenic Lake Bunyonyi
You will wake up at leisure and enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, you’ll say goodbye to the beautiful Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and head to the beautiful and picturesque Lake Bunyonyi. The area you drive through is scenic, so you can ask your driver-guide to stop from time to time as you take more pictures. When you arrive in Lake Bunyonyi, you’ll check in at your lodge/resort and have the rest of the day to yourself. You’ll marvel at the changing view in front of you as the scene is known to change as the day progresses! Lake Bunyonyi is a good place to chill out, relax, and read a book or simply go out on a tour with a canoe or motorized boat to some of the 29 islands that create the scenic appeal of the lake. Options of things to do include canoeing/boating, swimming (this is recommended for strong swimmers), birding, nature walks, hikes, and cultural visits. Your overnight.

Day 11: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
This morning, you’ll wake up at leisure and enjoy your breakfast. At 9.00 am, you will check out and start your drive to Lake Mburo National Park. On arrival, you’ll check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch. Lake Mburo National Park is the only park in Uganda with Eland, Impala Antelopes, and Burchell’s Zebra. The scenery of rolling hills, lakes, and swamps makes Africa real. It is in Lake Mburo where the Tanzanian Savannah meets Uganda in a most scenic fashion. At about 6.30 pm, you will head out for a nocturnal game drive. A night game drive is one of the most memorable activities one can do here. You’ll spot the creatures of the night, such as leopards, bush babies, porcupines, and other mammals that move at night. The drive is normally about two and a half hours, and you can choose to have dinner before or after the night game drive. Spotlights are used to point out various animals. After the drive, you’ll return to the lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 12: Nature Walk and transfer back to Entebbe.
You’ll wake up at 6:00 am and enjoy breakfast. Lake Mburo National Park is one of the game parks in Uganda where visitors are allowed to go into the wild for a nature walk with an experienced game ranger and get as close to the animals as possible safely. On a morning guided walk, you will often encounter hyenas who are returning to their dens after a night of being on the prowl, and at the same time, you can often see hippos returning from grazing during the night and returning to the lake to keep cool during the day and protect their sensitive skin from the sun. On a nature walk, you will also see Zebras, Giraffes, Eland, Topi, Impala and other antelopes, buffaloes, birds, and butterflies at very close range. After your walk, you’ll return to the lodge, take a shower, and check out—ready for the drive to Entebbe. At the Equator crossing, you’ll take some fun pictures and purchase crafts/souvenirs from your Uganda safari. You’ll enjoy lunch at the Equator and continue to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home. And if departing the next day, you will spend an overnight at the hotel at an extra cost.

Day 1: Arrival at the Airport and Transfer to Hotel in Entebbe or Kampala
A company representative from Ibis Adventure Safaris will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel either in Entebbe or Kampala Town. Depending on the time of your arrival, our guide will take you on a city tour for an exciting introduction of the Capital City – Kampala. You will choose to enjoy your city tour at the back of a Motorbike ‘Boda Boda’, on foot or in a car. Visit interesting historical sites and monuments will be visited, such as the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, the Uganda Museum, Bahai Temple, the Gadhafi Mosque, The King’s Palace, the city’s main local markets, and the African Craft Village. You will later be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, and en route visit the Rhinos
Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel, and you will travel by road to Murchison Falls National Park with a stop at the Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola to trek Southern White Rhinos in support of the initiative to reintroduce them in Uganda’s wild. This trek takes between ±1 hour depending on where the rhinos are located within the wildlife ranch. After the trek, enjoy your lunch and thereafter proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will arrive at your lodge on time for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drive and a boat Cruise on the River Nile
Wake up very early in the morning to a cup of tea before setting up to go for your game drive in search of predators and early risers on the northern bank of the river Nile. You may have a chance to see animals like Hyenas, Giraffes, Lions, Birds, Hartebeests, Buffalos, Elephants, Primates, and others, as well as different species of birds, as you explore the Murchison Falls National Park with magical photographic moments of wildlife, nature, and landscape. After the game drive, return to the lodge/camp for lunch.
In the afternoon, go for a 2-hour boat cruise on the great Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls. The boat ride will reward you with water animals like several Hippos and Crocodiles, as well as Elephants and plenty of birds dashing and walking along the banks. Capture moments in photos of the magnificent scenery, wildlife, and nature. After the boat ride to the bottom of the falls, you will hike to the top of the falls, where 1 km wide Nile is forced through a 7-metre narrow gorge forming the Murchison Falls, known as the most powerful falls, with a thunderous roar and breath-taking appearances of natural waterfalls. After this great moment, you will go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 : Drive from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park
An early start departing from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park. The park is best known for Chimpanzee tracking. You will arrive in the park late in the evening with a stop enroute for your lunch. You will be transferred to the lodge for dinner and overnight. If you are not tired, you choose to go for Bigodi Swamp walk which is a community Based project aimed at preserving the environment. Besides visiting the local community, the swamp is also a haven to over 138 bird species such as the Great Blue Turaco as well as animals like Bushbucks and Sitatungas.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking Tour and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
An early morning report to the park Headquarters ranger station for a short briefing for the start of your chimpanzee trekking. You will be briefed about the whole process of tracking and then you will head along the tracks in the forest to search for chimpanzees. The walk through the park will be guided providing information not only about chimpanzees but also on flora and fauna. You will then meet the chimpanzees and spend one hour watching them feed and making their calls. If you are lucky to find them hunting this is the best time, as you watch them share the meat amongst themselves. After tracking you will have Lunch and later drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park to arriving at the lodge later in the evening in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 : Game drive + Launch Cruise along the Kazinga Channel
Wake up before sunrise to a cup of tea or a glass of water and then set off to the park entrance gate for a game drive to be able to see predators as they return to their night hunting and the early risers. During the drive watch out for animals like the Leopards, Lions, giant forest hogs, hyenas, Uganda kobs, warthogs and others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for heavy breakfast, then later have lunch and come return to the park for your afternoon Boat Cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga channel is a large water body that connects Lakes George and Edward and will reward you with animals like Hippos, Elephants and Buffaloes at the shores not forgetting a variety of bird sspecies. Later after the boat cruise, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Transfer back to Entebbe Airport
You will have an early breakfast and then depart from Lake Bunyonyi to Entebbe passing through Mbarara Town with a Lunch Stopover at either in Mbarara or Masaka towns. We will also stop at the equator monument for your souvenir shopping, photo shooting and possibly for tea/coffee break. On arrival in Kampala, you will be transferred to your Hotel in Entebbe or to the airport for your flight back home. And if departing the next day, you will spend an overnight at the hotel at an extra cost.

Day 1: Transfer to Sipi via Jinja
Depart from the hotel or accommodation in Kampala/Entebbe and drive eastward along the Jinja road. On the way, as we pass through Mabira Forest, you will see the beautiful scenery of tea and sugar plantations around Lugazi. Visit Jinja the relaxed city of eastern Uganda to enjoy a boat ride to the Source of the Nile. Continue driving towards Sipi Falls/ Mt Elgon arriving at the lodge later in the afternoon and relax as you watch the beautiful sunset by your lodge. Please let us know if you would like to do white water rafting (while in Jinja) in advance for us to arrange accordingly.

Day 2: Hike Sipi Falls
After your breakfast, hike to the stunning Sipi Falls that cascade over a 100-meter cliff. You will continue with a steep climb to a series of caves as you follow the challenging trail to two other waterfalls. You will pass maize fields, coffee gardens, banana plantations, and typical African homesteads on your way and enjoy the breathtaking views over the Eastern Rift Valley. Those interested in experiencing a real thrill and watching the waterfalls from a very close distance will go abseiling down the mountain to the bottom of the famous Sipi Falls (at an extra cost). At the end of the day, you will experience a magnificent sunset before returning to your lodge. Also on the program (if not tired) is a coffee tour experience as you learn about the coffee process from planting to harvesting, then to local processing.

Day 3: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
Depart from Sipi as you drive to Kidepo National Park via Pian Upe and Matheniko-Bokora Game Reserves with lunch en route, arriving at the lodge later in the evening, where we will spend the rest of the day relaxing after a long drive. You will have your dinner and then overnight.

Day 4: Explore Kidepo Valley National Park
Have an early morning breakfast and embark on a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring (if it is not a rainy season when the road is impassable). Where a variety of animals and birds can be seen roving around, like the fast-running ostrich. (If it is a rainy season, you will instead do a game drive across the savannah with views of hills, small forests, river beds, and rings of mountains around you.) In the afternoon, we will do another Game drive that will take you through the Narus Valley to see herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, and hopefully some Lions, leopards, and the elusive cheetah. This will also enable you to be in full sight of a variety of birds as well. Stops will be made at any time. So, keep your eyes open! Game drives are always amazing here because of the flat savannah and stunning landscape. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Nature Walk + Game drive in the park
After an early breakfast, go for a nature walk to view a variety of fauna and flora species through the park trails. And thereafter, do yet another brief game drive before returning to the lodge for a hot lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Karamojong village to learn more about their culture through storytelling, music, and dance. The Karamojong of Uganda has a similar culture and traditions as the Maasai of Kenya. They are the infamous Cattle raiders that have yet to adapt to style and lifestyle. Most of them still sleep in huts and dress in blanket-like shawls, as well as beautiful beadwork for women. You will then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 6: Drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Today, you leave Kidepo Valley National Park for Ziwa Rhino & Wildlife Ranch in Nakasongola driving through the beautiful landscape of Northern Uganda. You will have a brief stop at the spectacular Aruu Falls before proceeding to Gulu for a hot lunch. Arrival at the lodge will be later in the afternoon/evening, where we will spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing.

Day 7: Rhino Trekking and transfer to Entebbe/Kampala
This morning, you will go for a guided walk to the Rhinos, and here you have a chance to take pictures at a close range. On arrival in Kampala, you will be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala or to the airport for your flight back home.

Day 2 :Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
An early breakfast will be served at the lodge before you set out to the park headquarters ranger station for a short briefing to go for your chimpanzee tracking. You will be briefed about the whole process of tracking, and then you will head along the tracks in the forest to search for chimpanzees. The walk through the park will be guided, providing information about not only the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking but also on flora and fauna. You will then meet the chimpanzees and spend some time (1 hour) watching them feed and making their sweet calls. The trekking takes between 1-4 hours, depending on the movement of the Chimps. It involves looking for chimpanzees in the forest, following them, and watching them once you find them. If you are lucky to find them hunting, this is the best time, as you watch them share a meal amongst themselves. You will have lunch and then take a
road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will arrive late in the evening in time for your dinner and overnight

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Very early in the morning, after breakfast, you will carry your packed lunch and be at the park ranger station by 7.30 am for registration and briefing and start the gorilla trekking experience at around 8:00 am. This remarkable experience of searching for the famous Mountain Gorillas is strenuous and thus requires one to be physically fit; however, the thrill of encountering these humble and gentle giants erases the poor memories you went through while finding them. The trekking takes 2–9 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle, and you will spend one hour with them as you take photos and learn about their behaviors. After the trekking, we will return to the lodge, where we will spend the rest of the day relaxing or going for an optional activity that is;

Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking.
Very early in the morning, we set off from the lodge and drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park driving on a poor, dry weather murrum road that will give you the ‘African massage, brace yourselves. Mgahinga is one of the smallest national parks in Uganda, located in the southwestern part of Uganda. This National park is home to different wildlife species, including mammals, primates like the endangered Mountain Gorillas, Golden Monkeys, I’hoest Monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park harbors one habituated gorilla family, Nyakagezi, which is available for trekking daily but today we will focus on trekking the other primate specie in the park; that is Golden monkeys. Golden Monkey Tracking can take 2 to 4 hours and you will get to spend 1 hour with them so please take as many photos as possible. The route you take to find the monkeys is attractive as you tread, looking for young bamboo branches as a clue to their location. A hike is taken through the bamboo forest. Along this activity always remember to carry your camera to freeze your golden monkey tour memories, a pair of binoculars for birding, hiking boots, hand gloves, a rain poncho, and a long-sleeved shirt, thus making you safer on your visit to the park.

Day 5: Transfer to the airstrip or travel by road back to Entebbe airport.
You will have breakfast and start the journey back to Entebbe International Airport or to Kisoro airstrip if you choose to fly back to Entebbe. On arrival in Entebbe, we will transfer you to either your hotel (at an extra cost if spending a night) or Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.

Day 1 : Kampala – Bwindi Gorilla Park
Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe Town and either transfer you to the airport for your domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip or travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by car. By road it takes approximately 9-10 hours, but from Kisoro airstrip to the lodge, it’s about one and a half hours to 2 hours, depending on the state of the dry weather road. If you choose to travel by road, you will have two stopovers; one at the equator to witness the water experiment taking place, take pictures, and buy a souvenir, and the other at the “Igongo Cultural Center” for lunch before we continue driving to Bwindi. We arrive later in the afternoon and relax by your lodge as you wait for your dinner and overnight.
