JOHN MUGISHA
Operation Manager/Tour Guide
John Mugisha is the engine behind Ibis Adventures’ day-to-day operations and the guy clients remember long after their trip ends. Based in Uganda, he oversees tours across East Africa, running seamless itineraries into Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
John’s roots in tourism run deep. He started in 2012 with Great Hills Safaris as a tour guide, then sharpened his skills with Gorilla Backbone Safaris before joining Ibis Adventures Limited in 2017. Over a decade on the road has given him an encyclopedic knowledge of East Africa’s biodiversity — the species, the ecosystems, the genes that make this region one of the richest on Earth, and how it all connects in the wild.
What sets John apart is how he blends that expertise with genuine enthusiasm. He’s professional, hands-on, and obsessed with getting the details right so every client leaves with a story worth telling. His goal is simple: put a smile on every face and make sure you actually experience Africa, not just see it.

Based in Uganda, he brings over 13 years of experience in the tech space, helping bridge tourism and technology to create smooth experiences for both the team and clients across East Africa.
Daniel’s journey in technology has been built on years of hands-on experience in web development, IT/Technical support, AI automation and digital solutions. He has worked across multiple industries designing websites, managing digital systems, troubleshooting technical challenges, and implementing practical solutions that improve workflow and customer experience. His expertise has seen him provide digital support for individuals and companies all over the world, making him a critical asset in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven tourism environment.
At Ibis Adventures, Daniel plays a key role in maintaining the company’s digital presence, supporting internal systems, and solving technical challenges that keep operations running seamlessly. With a passion for creating seamless and memorable travel experiences, Annette has been part of the tourism industry since 2018, building valuable expertise in both tour consultancy and reservations. Over the years, she has worked closely with travelers to design personalized journeys while ensuring every detail is carefully planned and professionally managed.
Her experience in reservations has strengthened her understanding of the operational side of travel, enabling her to provide efficient coordination, prompt communication, and smooth travel arrangements.
