This is a 5-6 hour drive will also take us through spectacular views of tea plantations and local homes and some forestry. This afternoon/evening is for a walk through Bigodi Swamp which a community-Based project aimed at preserving the environment. An early breakfast will be served at the lodge before you set out to the park headquarters ranger station for a short briefing to go for your chimpanzee tracking. You will be briefed about the whole process of tracking, and then you will head along the tracks in the forest to search for chimpanzees. The walk through the park will be guided, providing information about not only the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking but also on flora and fauna. You will then meet the chimpanzees and spend some time (1 hour) watching them feed and making their sweet calls. The trekking takes between 1-4 hours, depending on the movement of the Chimps. It involves looking for chimpanzees in the forest, following them, and watching them once you find them. If you are lucky to find them hunting, this is the best time, as you watch them share a meal amongst themselves. You will have lunch and then take a
road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will arrive late in the evening in time for your dinner and overnight

Very early in the morning, after breakfast, you will carry your packed lunch and be at the park ranger station by 7.30 am for registration and briefing and start the gorilla trekking experience at around 8:00 am. This remarkable experience of searching for the famous Mountain Gorillas is strenuous and thus requires one to be physically fit; however, the thrill of encountering these humble and gentle giants erases the poor memories you went through while finding them. The trekking takes 2–9 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle, and you will spend one hour with them as you take photos and learn about their behaviors. After the trekking, we will return to the lodge, where we will spend the rest of the day relaxing or going for an optional activity that is;
- Batwa Trail Experience at USD $80 per person
- Hike to the waterfall inside the park at USD $75 per person

Very early in the morning, we set off from the lodge and drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park driving on a poor, dry weather murrum road that will give you the ‘African massage, brace yourselves. Mgahinga is one of the smallest national parks in Uganda, located in the southwestern part of Uganda. This National park is home to different wildlife species, including mammals, primates like the endangered Mountain Gorillas, Golden Monkeys, I’hoest Monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park harbors one habituated gorilla family, Nyakagezi, which is available for trekking daily but today we will focus on trekking the other primate specie in the park; that is Golden monkeys. Golden Monkey Tracking can take 2 to 4 hours and you will get to spend 1 hour with them so please take as many photos as possible. The route you take to find the monkeys is attractive as you tread, looking for young bamboo branches as a clue to their location. A hike is taken through the bamboo forest. Along this activity always remember to carry your camera to freeze your golden monkey tour memories, a pair of binoculars for birding, hiking boots, hand gloves, a rain poncho, and a long-sleeved shirt, thus making you safer on your visit to the park.
