airstrip}. By road it takes approximately 9-10 hours but from Kisoro airstrip to the lodge, it’s about one and a half hours to two depending on the state of the dry weather road. You will have one stop at the equator and witness the water experiment taking place, take pictures and continue driving to Bwindi. We arrive early afternoon and relax by your lodge as you wait for your dinner and overnight at: Travel time (9-10hrs)
Very early in the morning, you will carry your packed Lunch and be at the park headquarters by 7am for briefing about your gorilla trekking experience before you set off for this remarkable experience of searching for the famous mountain gorillas. The activity takes 2-9 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle however the thrill of encountering these humble and gentle giants erases the memories you went through while looking out for the gorillas. Expect to meet a few other forest species such as monkeys, forest elephant duikers, birds and many more. After the trekking we can chose to return to your lodge and rest or go for community experience among the pygmies. Dinner and overnight at your lodge
Depending on your location in Bwindi National Park, you will set off early and head to Mgahinga National Park. This is the smallest national park in Uganda, located in the southwestern part of Uganda. The national park is home to different wildlife species, including mammals, primates like the endangered mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, I’hoest monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park harbors one habituated gorilla family, Nyakagezi, which is available for trekking daily. Golden monkeys are small and fast, making them the rarest primates in the world, and they are only found in Mgahinga National Park. Golden Monkey Tracking can take 2 to 4 hours when you are allowed to view, please take as many photos as possible. The route you take to find the monkeys may be attractive where you tread, looking for young bamboo branches as a clue to their location. A hike is taken through the bamboo forest. Along this activity always remember to carry your camera to freeze your golden monkey tour memories, a pair of binoculars for birding, hiking boots, hand gloves, a rain poncho, and a long-sleeved shirt, thus making you safer on your visit to the park.
You will have breakfast (time will depend on the time of your flight back home) and start the journey back to Kampala or to Kisoro airstrip. On the arrival in Entebbe, we
will transfer you to either to your hotel or Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.
