Very early in the morning, you will have breakfast and set off. You can choose to travel to Bwindi National Park by car or use a local regional flight to Bwindi {Kisoro
airstrip}. By road, it takes approximately 9-10 hours, but from Kisoro airstrip to the lodge, it’s about one and a half hours to 2 hours, depending on the state of the dry weather road. If you choose to travel by road, you will have two stopovers: one at the equator to witness the water experiment taking place, take pictures, and buy a souvenir, and the second one will be for lunch at Igongo Cultural center in Mbarara before proceeding to Bwindi NP. We arrive later in the evening and relax by your lodge as you wait for your dinner and overnight.

Very early in the morning, after breakfast, you will carry your packed lunch and be at the park ranger station by 7.30 am for registration and briefing and start the gorilla trekking experience at around 8:00 am. This remarkable experience of searching for the famous Mountain Gorillas is strenuous and thus requires one to be physically fit; however, the thrill of encountering these humble and gentle giants erases the poor memories you went through while finding them. The trekking takes 2-9 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle, and you will spend one hour with them as you take photos and learn about their behaviors. After the trekking, we will return to the lodge where we will spend the rest of the day relaxing or for an optional activity that is;
- Batwa Trail Experience at USD $80 per person
- Hike to the waterfall inside the park at USD $75 per person
- Nature walk inside the park at USD $75 per person
- Hike to the waterfall outside the park at USD $35 per person
- Nature walk outside the park at USD $35 per person
Dinner and overnight at our lodge.Mid-range/Luxury Accommodation: Gorilla Leisure Lodge (En-suite Cottages)
Very early in the morning, we set off from the lodge and drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, driving on a poor/bad dirt road that will give you the ‘African massage. Brace yourselves. Mgahinga is one of the smallest national parks in Uganda, located in the southwestern part of Uganda. This national park is home to different wildlife species, including mammals, primates like the endangered Mountain Gorillas, Golden Monkeys, L’hoest Monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park harbors one habituated gorilla family, Nyakagezi, which is available for trekking daily, but today we will focus on trekking the other primate species in the park which is golden monkeys. Golden Monkey Tracking can take 2 to 4 hours, and you will get to spend 1 hour with them, so please take as many photos as possible. The route you take to find the monkeys is attractive as you tread, looking for young bamboo branches as a clue to their location. A hike is taken through the bamboo forest. Along this activity, always remember to carry your camera to freeze your golden monkey tour memories, a pair of binoculars for birding, hiking boots, hand gloves, a rain poncho, and a long-sleeved shirt, thus making you safer on your visit to the park.
Travel time (to Mgahinga): ± 2.5 hoursMid-range/Luxury Accommodation: Gorilla Leisure Lodge (En-suite Cottages)
You will have breakfast and start the journey back to Entebbe or to Kisoro airstrip if you choose to fly back to Entebbe. On your arrival in Entebbe, we will transfer you to either your hotel (at an extra cost if spending a night) or Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
